”My name is Kim, I am a researcher at Uppsala University and I have lived in Sweden for nearly 6 years. I finished the courses the university offers up to ’Swedish for Academics 4’ which brings me up to a B2 level more or less. I am married to a Swede and understand most of what my husband and son talk about when they speak Swedish together. I speak mainly Swedish with my mother in law, so I feel quite confident in speaking when I’m out and about, but I know I have gaps in my knowledge e.g. in grammar, and I want to increase my vocabulary and improve written Swedish. I am wondering if private lessons will help me reach a better level faster rather than another group class.

I found 'The Swedish Teacher' online and decided to give it a go - the booking system was very easy so I did a trial consultation and had a good feeling about Sara after discussing my aims. We have focused on speaking, fluency and vocab by reading articles, discussing them and making written summaries. Even my colleagues have noticed a clear improvement in my Swedish and I feel much more confident than before. Sara adapted readily to my needs and interests and I am continuing my lessons with her as I am so pleased with the results. I would gladly recommend Sara as a teacher and the company itself.
