“Hi This trial lesson is for my daughter Madeleine, who is 14 years old. We live in Harpenden, about 30 minutes by commuter train from London Madeleine and her brother Adam, who is 12, previously attended Swedish lessons at the Swedish School in Milton Keynes twice a month. However, that was a couple of years ago, and unfortunately Swedish has not been kept as active as we would have liked — secondary school, friends, and other activities got in the way. Now it’s time to make a fresh start and get going with Swedish again. That’s why we contacted The Swedish Teacher. The goal is for them to become fully bilingual, meaning that they can read, write, and speak Swedish fluently, as we want the children to have the opportunity to study at Swedish universities when the time comes!
Siblings Madeleine and Adam took lessons with The Swedish Teacher for several years. They started at A1 level and were later both accepted to Stockholm University’s course “Qualifying Course in Swedish”, a course that starts at B2 level and leads to C1 level, providing eligibility in Swedish for university studies according to regulations from the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education.
Madeleine is now studying the Bachelor’s Programme in Political Science at Stockholm University, and Adam has applied for a foundation year in science and technology at several Swedish universities.
